Handmade Flowers on a Mother's Day Card!

For this Mother's Day card, I made flowers by using Lady E Design Flower and Leaf Dies out of foamiran. I coloured using distress oxides. After manipulating them into shape by using heat, I inserted the stamens. The backing paper is from Hunkydory. I also attached a few elements from Little Birdie's 'Purple Passion' The 'sent with love' sentiment is from Sentimentally Yours from Phill Martin. The 'Mum' sentiment is from my stash.

A Day at the Beach Winnie Relaxing Sunlounger and Winnie Building Sandcastles Today's theme for the Design Team was 'Smell Of The Sea' There's also an amazing DISCOUNT CODE for the Polkadoodles store TODAY! Check out the blog for all the details. Oh I can't wait to be beside the sea again! For this project 'Smell of the Sea' I used Winnie - Building Sandcastles and Relaxing Sunlounger from Polkadoodles. Both coloured using ProMarkers. The backing paper is from 6x6 Peeling Paint paper pack. I attached a few Tropical Palm Trees with some tiny polystyrene embellishment balls. Driving Miss Daisy

Driving Miss Daisy This gorgeous image is called 'Couple in a Cabriolet' by Julia Spiri. I just adore it! Coloured using Promarkers and Copics. The background was stencilled using Park Life Stencil from Polkadoodles, focusing only around the top half of the image. I water coloured the ground using a mixture of Ranger 'Peeled Paint, Iced Spruce and Walnut Stain, to get the colour I wanted to achieve. I used a square 5x5 die cut, inked up the edges and attached to backing paper from Festive Christmas Bundle from Polkadoodles. Sentiment can be added at a later date, to suit the occasion. Normally I colour my own images, but for this summer tag I decided to use pre-coloured Winnie Vacation from the Special Moments Big Kahuna Bundle. The sentiment words are from Super Sentiments Stamp Set. The flag banner is from Baubles and Banners Stamp Set . Attached are some palm trees and a sun for that summery beach feel! For the sun i added a generous amount of Clear Nuvo Drops and swirled around to give that watery sun look, when dried. The palm trees, sun and flag banner were coloured using ProMarkers. For my 'Mum' themed card, I used the beautiful Lilac Haze Watercoloured Flower . I copied 3 times, fussycut and then decoupaged to create a 3D effect. Backing paper is from the same bundle. For my 'Back to School' project, I made this vintage school bag using papers from the Winston Deluxe Download Collection . The flowers and zip are from the same collection. The pencils are from Winnie Fruit Punch Embellies which I recoloured. I used a box die to make my school bag shape. I inked up the edges in brown distress oxide. I made a pocket from a rectangle die and attached the zip to the top, for the pencils - adding some stitching with a white gel pen. I added a little tag so Winnie can claim her school bag! Bare Foot and Loose Hair This gorgeous image is called Bare Foot Lady with Loose Hair by artist Mariola Budek. I just fell in love it when I seen her! I coloured her using a combination of Copics and Arrtx Markers. Ripped a piece of card and inked the edges in green and attached to a 5x7 card. Finished off with white spotty organza ribbon and green spotty ribbon made into bows. Cordelia - Spellbinding Witch

Cordelia Witch I'm a huge fan of the Halloween season and adore anything dark and Gothic inspired. When Nikky from Polkadoodles gave me her new collection to craft with, I was ecstatic! I am in love with these witches from the NEW Spellbinding Collection For this card I chose Cordelia and coloured using ProMarkers. I added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the crystal ball to give a sheen. I diecut a large circle to create a moon background. The pumpkins are from the previous new release Going Batty - Spooky Pumpkin Dies The cat, fence and broomstick are from Witchie Witchie Download Bundle I created the trees by stencilling - using Tree/Foliage Stencil , cutting out and attaching to the card for a 3D feel. I used Lovely Tags and attached Pretty Jars and Vases. and Pretty Botanicals Embellishments The lettering is from Sweet Moments Chipboard Embellishments . Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Christmas in July arrived at Create and Craft TV and Polkadoodles were showcasing the fabulous Gnome-azing Christmas Collection There's a lot going on with this sample card for the show. I used Gnome Meet Me Under the Mistletoe and coloured using Copics and ProMarkers. I stenciled the background using Trees/Foliage Great Outdoors Stencil then glittered using Glamour Dust. I stenciled the trees again with Distress Oxide, then cut out and attached to give a woodland theme. The door is from Woodland Door Die . The little trees and Noel are from Itsy Bits Plywood Decorative Shapes. Sentiment is from the same stamp set.
